Lake Placid

…this quirky little town that has been dubbed “The City of Murals”…

A few months back I found myself in the central southern Florida town of Lake Placid. I was there for the week shooting Hyperlite Wake’s new 2012 wakeboards and wakeskates with all the team riders. We had an amazing two house setup on a beautiful lake thanks to the Mike Faye and his family who were amazing hosts for the week. The weather was perfect and days were long as we were up early and shot the entire day most days. I shot digital for four days straight and by the end of it I was itching to get my filmcamera back in my hands, especially seeing some of the sites around this quirky little town that has been dubbed “The City of Murals” We finished up a little earlier than expected on the last day so I decided to check out the town a little and take the back roads back to Orlando. What I found was Toby’s Clown Museum, a caladium field being tending to by some migrant workers, and a random old cracker house.
